Format
This two-day course integrates classroom instruction, demonstrations, and practical training. Certification is awarded to participants who successfully complete the written assessment and practical assessment.

Risk management in rigging operations
Basic rigging plans
Calculating load weight, sling tension, and understanding the rigging triangle
Rigging equipment (slings, hitches, hooks, and rigging hardware)
Chain blocks and lever hoists
Below-the-hook lifting devices
Pre-use inspection of rigging equipment
Duties and responsibilities of riggers and signal persons
Safe use of tag lines
Radio communications and hand signals
