Forklift Training
Employers are required under the Nova Scotia Occupational Health & Safety Act to provide training to all persons operating forklift equipment. This course focuses on safe practices and procedures for operating forklifts. It is a comprehensive classroom program suitable for both experienced and novice operators.
During the training participants will be instructed on the proper operating and safety procedures for forklifts. This classroom portion allows students to give feedback and participate in class discussion. During the class, the students will work in groups on case studies.
Upon completion of the classroom portion, students are given practical training and a practical operator assessment on a functional forklift. Upon successful completions of all portions participants will be qualified forklift operators.

Required Equipment
Working in and around moving machinery present a hazard of injury to the foot. For this reason it is a requirement to wear approved safety footwear during the practical portion of training. Please come prepared.
Certificate
The Forklift Training course expires three (3) years from date of completion.
