Internal Responsibility Systems

This course will provide a look at the philosophy and practices which form the foundation of the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation in Nova Scotia and around the world. IRS principles are discussed, and the rights and responsibilities of workplace parties are reviewed along with an opportunity to discover the safety culture prevalent at your workplace. A brief look at due diligence will also help to broaden the understanding of components of the IRS.
