Road To Impact

At Safety Services Nova Scotia (SSNS), safety isn't just our mission, it's our way of life. As a not-for-profit organization, we are committed to fostering safer, healthier, and more inclusive communities across the province. Through our Road to Impact program, we aim to support local initiatives that align with our core values: safety, wellbeing, education, and social inclusion.

What is Road to Impact?

The Road to Impact program is a charitable giving initiative designed to support Nova Scotia-based non-profits, charities, and community organizations. Over a ten-month period (January 2026 - October 2026), SSNS will allocate $2,500 per month to individual recipients, totalling $25,000, to eligible organizations that are making a tangible difference in their communities.

Meet our first recipient: Threads of Life - Association for Workplace Tragedy Family

As a national non-profit charity, Threads of Life supports workers and families affected by work-related fatalities, serious injuries, or occupational diseases. These tragedies have a profound impact on families, and Threads of Life provides peer support, information, and opportunities to share experiences to prevent future workplace incidents.

With our aligned missions, we’re proud that our Road to Impact grant will support their annual Steps for Life walk in Halifax on May 2nd. The grant, helps to ensure services remain free for those who need them.
