Defensive Driving course

course overview:

Defensive Driving is about understanding driver errors and staying safe despite those actions. Driver error is the cause of between 94-98 percent of motor vehicle accidents.  This is not a course to teach you how to drive, or to preach about your faults and improve you.  This is a course designed to help you explore dangerous situations and discuss how to deal with those situations and stay safe.

This 6-hour course, commissioned by Safety Services Nova Scotia and approved by Access Nova Scotia, looks at the most common and dangerous errors made by drivers, and encourages open discussion about how to identify and deal with errors safely.  We can’t fix other drivers, but we can learn to anticipate their actions, and handle their errors, to get to our destinations safely. The Defensive Driving Course is offered both in-person and online with Safety Services Nova Scotia.

This course is approved for point recovery and Graduated Driver License exit.
