Fire Extinguisher Training
This course has been developed to educate participants on the classification, growth and extinguishment
of fires. We use lecture format, group discussion/participation and audio/visual tools as well as “handson” use of mock fire extinguishers in a simulated fire environment.
The participant will learn when and how to use the fire extinguishers provided. Each participant will successfully extinguish a simulated fire using the proper technique and within the desired time.
This course is designed for persons who may need to use a fire extinguisher, including most workers in the
province of Nova Scotia and the general public. This course is highly recommended for persons providing
care for others, including daycare, healthcare and corrections workers.
