SCHOOL BUS SAFETY
About School Bus Safety Awareness Week
Observed every year during the third full week of October, National School Bus Safety Week is a time to bring awareness to the importance of keeping students safe on and around school buses. It’s an opportunity for parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus drivers, and school communities to come together and highlight safe practices. Across Nova Scotia and beyond, this week serves as a reminder that school bus safety is a shared responsibility; on the road, at the bus stop, and in classrooms.

Celebrate Bus Safety Awareness with Safety Services Nova Scotia
Safety Services Nova Scotia is proud to lead School Bus Safety Week across the province. We’re making it easy for schools, families, and communities to get involved with:

-
Educational resources: Ready-to-use activities and lesson plans available for download and sharing.
-
Classroom support: Invite SSNS into your school for an interactive safety session or a hands-on bus safety training exercise. Contact stracy@safetyservicesns.ca.
