Joe Treen, CRSP, CHSC, HSP

Joe has been with Safety Services Nova Scotia since 2007 and has worked in the safety and risk management field professionally for many years.  Prior to joining Safety Services Nova Scotia, Joe spent 14 years working for a global commercial insurer supplying risk management and loss prevention services across Atlantic Canada.  Having many years of experience working in very broad range of industries has provided Joe with a broad, balanced perspective and ability to adapt to varying working environments.

As a lead auditor, consultant and instructor, Joe has a passion for providing clients first class levels of service, guiding them towards continual improvement in their safety management systems.  Professional accreditation’s include holding designations of Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) and Health and Safety Professional (HSP), as well as a Certificate in Adult Education.

Joe also serves as a working group lead for the CSA Z1001 (OHS Training) committee, a member of the Quality of Training Working Group under the OHS Advisory Council of NS, a long time member and serving executive on the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering, as well as Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters OHS Advisory committee, and several other volunteer committees.
